home again, gone again...
Touring was wonderful. We met tons of awesome people and got to hear so much great music. We are truly grateful to of all the people who gave us places to stay and showed us around their cities. We love you all! After the tour, we were back in town for a few days. We played a CD release show at the Buccaneer. All of our parents (except for Chad's because they are in Oklahoma) sat at a table and talked. It was pretty adorable. Now, we have all gone off to different parts of the country. The seed pod has burst. The dandelion has blown. LOVE, Katherine

doin it and makin it happen
Last night's show at the Hi-Tone was wonderful! Our set was short and sweet, featuring two cover songs. Paul Taylor played some nice songs, I liked his voice a lot. He played some great covers too, including "A Case of You" by Joni Mitchell. It was lovely. Cory Branan played an awesome set, full of energy and fever. He's a really great performer, and we were honored to share the stage with him. Thanks to everyone who came, we had a great night and we hope you had fun too! We have lots of merch left to sell, and we're also doing custom shirts if you tell us what size and style shirt you want, and what you how you want us to vandalize it. You can see some examples here. Just send us a message or write an email. We FINALLY updated the website! We're still working on it, and if you have pictures of us from live shows or just hanging out, please email them to us. Tomorrow we're turning in album to get pressed, and it will be ready for sale in 2-3 weeks. We can't wait!!!! We plan to have a CD release party on August 7 but we'll let you know as soon as they're ready to be sold, for $10 each. All 13 songs sound awesome, thanks to Chad, who recorded and mastered everything for us. Yay! Thanks for being the best fans a band could ask for. We love you!!! -Alanna, SV

Go, Go, Go
As Brock and I like to say, SV has been "go go go, bitches!" Recording, Playing, Sewing, Stenciling ("Frozen Gerbil!"), Driving, Drinking (Dr. Pepper, Dr. Pepper, Coke Floats, Corona, etc.), Listening, Deciding, Talking, Booooooking. Our merch is golden. Our recordings actually sound like us. Even though we're broke and wary, SV is doing well. The album will be out soon. Please come to the garageband sale/carport show at my house on July 8. As I like to remind anyone I talk to, it is the day after my birthday. Come to the show, if not just to celebrate 19 years of age. --Alice

summer tour!
As you may have read in the bulletin or in the mailing list, we've decided to tour this summer! We'll be playing a show every night from August 8th to the 19th. We're not exactly sure about where we're playing yet, but we have a few ideas and we need your input. Please let us know if you'd be interested in attending shows in these areas, if you could help us GET shows in these areas, or if you have any suggestions about other towns sort of along this route. So far, we're thinking: Louisville, Chicago, Oberlin, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., Asheville, and Atlanta. We need suggestions about towns to play in New Hampshire, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, etc. We want any and all feedback you can supply! Please comment on this post or email us at scandalizvandalistz@gmail.com.

forever and ever
The show last night went really well!! There were some shaky moments, as always, but we just had fun and hopefully you had fun too. We just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made it out, and we're sorry we missed you if you couldn't be there. SV definitely lives on, and we will certainly be back for more shows in the summer, if you'll have us. Sonya Cotton and Chris Maher both played awesome sets, and if you got a chance to talk to them like we did, you know that they were really cool. We all went to CK's afterwards for a celebratory meal from heaven. Hoorah! Tonight is New Year's Eve, so everyone have a great time and be safe! love love love

The start of WINTER BREAK
Even though there will be only a few days that we will all be in town at the same time, I am VERY EXCITED to see my bandmates (as well as our best friends that might as well be in the band). Alanna and I just ate massive cheese sticks from the deli, and I look forward to many more days of sitting around, playing music, watching movies, and hanging out at galloway/the hot tub. Our show at Java is on December 30, and I expect all of our hardcore fans (oh ho ho) to be there. Thank you, and good night. -Alice

memphis is home.
alice spent the celebration of our country's brutal colonization posing as me at oberlin while she visited to take a violin lesson at the conservatory. she even carried my id to the dining hall to eat. we crossed paths for a lovely 8 hours, 1 of which was spent asleep, before i headed off to long island to see my extended family. i spent one night with john tom and ada basking in the bright lights of new york city. seeing home in far away places is strange but wonderful. we miss playing shows, and we'd like to play over winter break. if you want us to play your living room, play a dance party, or sing a christmas carol to your grandmother, we'd be happy to do so. we're hoping to play a show with chris maher (a friend of dan fishback from cheese on bread, who we played a show with this summer) on december 30th when he comes to memphis, but we still need a venue. any ideas? with love to all of our buddies, katherine
